Spring break is a time to sit back, relax and do the bare minimum for seven whole days. What better way to do that than with some well-deserved couch time binge-watching shows?

6 Shows You Can Completely Binge During Spring Break

But with thousands of options to choose from, it can feel overwhelming to decide which show deserves your spring break time. We’ve got you covered. Whether you want to watch a hilarious comedy or award-winning show, or simply take in some easy viewing, here are eight shows you can binge-watch this week:

1. Beef

Watch on Netflix

Beef follows the aftermath of a road rage incident between two strangers: Danny Cho (Steven Yeun), a troubled contractor, and Amy Lau (Ali Wong), a self-made business owner. The 10-episode series dives into the intricacies of their lives and their growing feud, keeping you on edge the entire season. The show does an excellent job fleshing out the characters and their backgrounds, particularly Danny, whose struggle with his faith was one of the most compelling scenes on TV in recent years.

Pssst! Season two drops next month — check out the trailer here — making it the perfect time to catch up!

2. Somebody Somewhere

Watch on HBO Max

Somebody Somewhere is the kind of show that sneaks up on you. What starts as a quiet dramedy about a woman returning to her Kansas hometown after loss slowly turns into one of the warmest, funniest and most human series on TV from this decade. Bridget Everett — who delivered a scene-stealing performance in Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man — is phenomenal as Sam, a woman trying to figure out where she belongs. The show’s small, tender moments hit just as hard as the big emotional ones. It’s weird, lovely, deeply funny and full of the kind of friendship and grace that feels rare on television right now.

3. Abbott Elementary

Watch on Hulu

If you haven’t been watching Abbott Elementary, what exactly are you waiting for? The half-hour comedy follows a group of inner-city Philadelphia school teachers doing their best to provide a happy (and hilarious) education for their students. Along the way, the team has to handle curveballs from the school district, parents, significant others and their less-than-qualified principal (she’s trying…most days). Sometimes the situations are a bit too real for teachers, but whether you’re in or out of the education system, you’ll definitely have a laugh.

4. The Studio

Watch on Apple TV+

If Hollywood satire is your thing, The Studio should jump to the top of your list. The series follows a newly appointed movie studio head trying to keep the film business alive while navigating ego, chaos, bad decisions and the increasingly absurd machinery of the entertainment industry. It’s sharp and fast, so there’s no chance you’ll lose interest. It’s also painfully aware of how ridiculous modern Hollywood can be. Even if you don’t care about the movie business, the show’s skewering of self-importance and corporate nonsense makes it an easy watch.

5. The Good Place

Watch on Netflix

Instead of rewatching The Office or Parks and Rec for the umpteenth time, try watching another Michael Schur classic, The Good Place. The series takes a humorous look at the afterlife while also exploring complex moral and ethical situations in a lighthearted way. The ability to create entertainment out of deep, philosophical thoughts means that no matter how any times you’ve seen an episode, there’s always something new that will stick out. Plus, it’s not a bad way to binge a few hours.

6. Shrinking

Watch now on Apple TV+

Shrinking somehow manages to be heartfelt and genuinely hilarious all at once. The series centers on a grieving therapist, played by Jason Segel, who starts breaking every professional rule imaginable and telling his patients exactly what he thinks. That setup alone is funny, but what makes the show work is how much heart it has underneath all the chaos. Harrison Ford is especially great here, and the series does a surprisingly strong job balancing grief and healing from dysfunctional relationships without ever feeling heavy-handed. It’s funny, emotionally sharp and — most importantly — incredibly easy to tear through in a week.
