Nicole Kidman says one of her pre-Oscars rituals has nothing to do with glam or normal Hollywood chaos — it’s all about church.

Ahead of the 2026 Academy Awards, Kidman told Variety she planned to spend Sunday morning in church before heading to the ceremony that night.

“This is crazy, but I will go to church in the morning,” she said at a pre-Oscars dinner Saturday at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills. “We’ll be squeezing it in. … It just centers me. It’s what I do on a Sunday.”

Kidman appeared at the Oscars later that evening alongside her Moulin Rouge! co-star Ewan McGregor, with the two presenting Best Picture in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary.

Kidman has spoken publicly about her faith before. In a 2019 interview with Vanity Fair, she said church and prayer have long been part of her life and family.

“That’s how we are raising our children,” she said. “Keith has his own beliefs, but he comes, too. I had a very Catholic grandmother, and I was raised praying, so that had a massive impact.”

She also said her faith leaves room for questions.

“I wouldn’t say it’s absolutism, there’s constant questioning,” she said. “For me, it’s very important that I don’t have judgment.”
