In 1994, Father Roberto Espejo assumed leadership and worked tirelessly for both pastoral and material growth. After the community spent years praying the rosary to the Virgin Mary for the acquisition of their current land through a municipal agreement, they requested the name change to honor Nuestra Señora del Rosario, connecting with the historical chapel that once stood here.
